During this project we did reclamation along SC-11 widening the right of way along this primary route. This specific location was in the foothills of the blue ridge mountains. The terrain here was very steep which required us to use the excavator mulchers to reach up the steep banks! The right of way was stretched back to 80 feet from center along this 8.6 mile route. Before it was 35 feet on average meaning we had a lot of work to do. With the R/W being so small we were very close to encroaching on the travel shoulder. For this reason we had to preform a shoulder closure with the use of a crash truck.
